NHHA is a private, non-profit volunteer organization that has been assisting Northborough individuals and families in need since 1920. NHHA coordinates a holiday outreach program, free medical equipment loan program, backpack program, emergency fund program, winter gear drive, and scholarship fund. It works closely with other town agencies and relies on the generous support of businesses, organizations, and individuals to meet its goals.

NHHA has been around for decades and they continue to run programs to help residents of Northborough in need. One hidden gem of their services is to loan medical equipment to those who may need it and insurance doesn’t provide or it is costly to the individual. Their annual holiday programs include the Thanksgiving food baskets and Adopt a Family for Christmas. The Backpack Drive helps to provide new backpacks and school supplies to students in K-12 in need. It is solely run on volunteers so all donations go directly to their efforts throughout the year. Donations are all tax deductible. It’s a dedicated group of volunteers, most have been with the organization for years.
